Covent Garden

Covent Garden – Nearest Tube Covent Garden

Surprisingly unheard of by a lot of visitors to London is our historical Covent Garden once famous for is fruit and vegetable stalls, now better know for its street entertainers, pubs and boutique shopping. In the centre of the market there are lines of market stalls selling everything from costume jewellery to canvas prints. Surrounding these are small boutique shops selling slightly more expensive giftware.

Over the past 10 years a few larger chain stores have started to edge into the square, most recently the latest Apple store. However the area has managed to hold onto it’s sense of self and continues to entertain millions of visitors and locals each year.

The street entertainment starts about noon each day, and finishes about 6pm, but the surrounding restaurants have outside seating so you can sit for hours watching the world rush by.

Another up and coming area is the “Seven Dials” which is situated just off Covent Garden. With selected stores and boutiques entering the area it is fast becoming THE place to be seen.
