Following the success of their children – friendly adaptions of Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia, English National Ballet and English National Ballet School return to the Peacock Theatre with a new addition to the enchanting My First Ballet series – My First Ballet: Swan Lake. The evil magician Rothbart has turned the beautiful princess Odette into a swan; only at night can she return to human form. Will Prince Seigfried be able to save her, or will he fall Rothbart's sorcery? Featuring a narrator to help the young audience follow the story and a shortened version of Tchaikovsky's wonderful music, these performances are specially created to make ballet accessible and enjoyable to children from the age of 3 upwards. This unique collaboration between English National Ballet and English National Ballet School is created by English National Ballet's Associate Artist George Williamson and performed by a second year students from English National Ballet School. A range of symbol resources are available to make the story more accessible to children with learning difficulties and disabilities.
