Due to complaints from local residents and worries over enviromental damage to the Park, AEG (the new promoters of Hyde Park) have announced a slimmed down schedule for next Summer, down from 28 to a miserly 6. Crowds of up to 65,000 per night were visiting the site, but this apparently caused upset to locals in the area and raised complaints.
Acts like Springstein, Madonna and McCartney appeared last year, with the Boss falling foul of strict 10pm curfews already in place.
In fairness to the decision a water logged field and 65,000 Rihanna fans resulted in substaintial damage that will take nearly 10 months to recover, however it will be such a shame that something that has become uniquely London will be a tamer affair next time around.
