The Royal Albert Hall hosts the UK premiere of Star Trek – Live In Concert. Star Trek – Live In Concert celebrates the extraordinary collaboration between film and music as Michael Giacchino's score is brought to life on stage by the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducting by Ludwig Wicki, while J.J Abrams' Academy Award winning film is shown simultaneously in high definition on the big screen. J.J Abrams' reboot of the classic film franchise was launched with the release of Star Trek, which attracted widespread critical acclaim and became one of the Box Office smash hits of 2009. The film follows the iconic Captain James T. Kirk and mr Spock aboard the USS Enterprise as they combat Nero, a Romulan from their future who threatens the United Federation of Planets.
