London’s cable car now has a name and more importantly a sponsor. It wil now go by the name Emirates, to be decided how, and will be adorned with Emirate logos and colour scheme. As with the London Eye, the trip will now be refered to as a flight and the journey “a flight path”, all to tie in with the airline theme.
It will be compiled of 34 cable cars that can carry up to 2500 people per hour across the Thames from the O2 to Excel.
We personally do not think they will have demand for even 10% of that number, but it will provide stunning views across London for all visitor tourists and give you a chance to visit both Greenwich and the docklands, neither which feature high up on the wish lists of travellers.
