Olympic Park Legacy Company fails to “iron” out the details

The saga on the legacy of the Olympic stadium took yet another turn today as the deal between the Olympic Park Legacy Company OPLC, West Ham football club and Newham council fell down after what was described as a “legal paralysis.”

It is now said that the stadium by be available on a lease scheme, rather than an outright purchase or redevelopment, which means that the OPLC will have more control and force tennants to keep the running track.

Both West Ham and Leyton Orient have both tonight stated that they will be bidding to become those tennants, but this saga is bound to run and run 🙂
